April is Volunteer Month! Bridges to Sudan has many ways in which you can become involved. We would love for you, your family, and friends to join us at our upcoming volunteer events and make a difference one step at a time. Hands on Jax Volunteer of the Year Congratulations to Dr. Tina Jaeckle!
Dr. Jaeckle is the founder of BTS and has been actively volunteering for 4 years. She has helped to secure funding, establish the non-profit organization, helping with school and church presentations, and has hosted survivors of the Holocaust.
Dr. Jaeckle has also privately helped in emergency situations that were critical to certain local needs. Her warmth and caring for the lost and underserved is amazing, and certainly nothing short of a miracle that she developed a love for the Sudanese. She is actively involved in many other causes, but will do anything needed to help keep us on track. She is also currently the President of BTS, the Chair of the Board, and continues to look for ways to draw attention to the local and international needs of our organization. She is the backbone of this organization and is a shining example of someone who has passion to serve without any compensation other than to see others succeed and reach their potential through our support at Bridges.

Join us on Saturday, April 10th, from 10am-12pm for our first quarterly Volunteer Meeting of 2010! This is a great way to learn more about our organization, sign up for volunteer opportunities, learn about new BTS initiatives, and meet a few BTS Board members. Bring a Friend, Bring a Family Member!

MAY 5, 2010 DEADLINE! A great chance to support BTS, win prizes, and enjoy THE PLAYERS!
Here’s How it Works: 1. Fill out form at: pgatour.com/the players or if you happen to get a special mailing you may complete and return to BTS. 2. Make a pledge of 2 cents or more for each birdie made during the tournament (ie; 2009 1502 birdies = $30.04 total pledge) 3. OR Make a flat pledge donation to BTS: 4. Big Bunny Easter Event! |

Approximately 3,500 children attended the Jacksonville event this April! Ronald McDonald was present, children enjoyed face painting, an Easter egg hunt, and pictures with the Easter bunny! Sharon Svihel and the children had a great time. This was a perfect social event for the Sudanese children to experience! |
